“It can’t be that hard can it…” is a motto that I formed in my youth. This despite being the smallest kid in the class and wearing Forrest Gump like leg braces. It has driven my life.
Fast forward decades later and I’ve had the honor of getting to know KultureCity. The charity birthed in Birmingham, AL. It has impacted millions around the globe with its inclusion of neurodiverse individuals.
Personally I have gotten to know its founders Dr. Michele Kong and Dr. Julian Maha. They are the engine behind this evolving and compassionate charity.
“Making the nevers possible” provides not only the KultureCity motto, but it is the foundation… the force… and the future.
KultureCity has also brought me eternal happiness. See, I am marrying one its board members in a few short months. (So yes I am biased!)
In trying to figure out how to honor KultureCity for its 10 year anniversary I simply thought – WWMD- What Would Michele Do? And it became crystal clear.
The World Marathon Challenge kicks off January 31, 2025. In 7 days, it will take me all the way from Antarctica to Australia and finally to Miami (with Cape Town, Madrid, Dubai, and Brazil along the way).
