LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Pinnacle Bank Arena has partnered with KultureCity and multi-platinum-selling artist Lauren Daigle to bring sensory-inclusivity to programs and events hosted at the arena.

According to PBA, the new initiative will help create an accepting and inclusive environment and promote accessibility for those with sensory sensitivities.

KultureCity is a non-profit organization which works to promote inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with sensory needs. KultureCity’s flagship initiative, the Sensory Inclusive program, has been widely embraced by venues, stadiums, and cultural institutions across the nation and around the world. This program provides annual training and resources to staff, allowing them to accommodate individuals with sensory sensitivities better.

Daigle is continuing her partnership with The Price Fund and KultureCity to create and renovate seventeen sensory rooms at venue stops on her The Kaleidoscope Tour.

Designed by medical professionals, the rooms provides a dedicated space for those who may need a quieter and more secure environment. The sensory pod is outfitted with Yogibo bean bags, visual light, activity panels and bubble walls. Sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and weighted lap pads will also be available to all guests at PBA who may feel overwhelmed by the environment.

“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with KultureCity at PBA,” said Tim Savona, General Manager at PBA. “This collaboration underscores our ongoing commitment to enhancing the experience for our devoted fans and visitors, ensuring every event is memorable and enjoyable while providing a safe and inclusive environment.”

Prior to attending an event, families can download the free KultureCity App to view what sensory features are available and where they can access them. The app also includes the Social Story, which provides a preview of what to expect while at PBA.

“Empowering communities through inclusion and innovation, Pinnacle Bank Arena is aligned with the same visionary spirit as KultureCity and champions a world where every individual, regardless of ability, is not just accepted but celebrated for their unique contributions to the tapestry of humanity!” Uma Srivastava, Executive Director KultureCity.
